It's All About the Beans
When it comes to coffee we believe in serving you a quality product. We use high quality beans from a professional roaster to make our freshly brewed coffee and tasty specialty drinks every day. Once you have tried our coffee we know that you will agree.
All of our coffee is roasted locally in batches of 40 lbs. or less which ensures that impurities are not roasted into our coffee. Many of our coffees are produced organically which ensures there are no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers trapped into your drink. Our roaster uses only Fair Trade Coffees which means the harvesters of our coffee are paid well above the average harvester wage, providing a “living wage”.
While all of this adds slightly to the cost of our beans, we feel it provides exceptional flavor, freshness, and quality.
Organic Coffee
Our coffees are cultivated, harvested, and processed without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Instead, farmers rely on safe techniques like composting, crop rotation, terracing, and biological pest control.
Fair Trade
Our coffees are certified Fair Trade which guarantees that farmers and workers received a fair price for their products. Fair Trade certified growers are farmer-owned cooperatives and small family farms, not corporate agribusinesses. Traditional artisanal methods result in a high-quality product that is worth the slight extra cost.
About Espresso
Espresso is prepared by forcing hot water through finely ground dark-roast coffee beans. Think of it as strong, concentrated coffee. You can add extra ’shots’ of espresso to make your drink stronger.
